Renal cancer

Renal Cancer

Renal cancer is characterized by marked interpatient heterogeneity, which leads to the emergence of diverse mechanisms that drive treatment resistance and disease relapse. Notably, renal cancer is among the ten most commonly diagnosed cancers worldwide. In this line of research, we study the communication between tumor cells and their adipose and immune microenvironments in renal cancer. We focus on analyzing galectins and glycans at the interface of these key components involved in disease progression.
